The Parish Council’s main source of funding is the ‘precept’. The precept is the parish council’s share of the council tax and is collected by the district council for the parish council. Without this money the Parish Council would be unable to carry out any of its responsibilities. 

In addition to this, Linton always seeks to find additional sources of funding through other grants and donations.

Assets

Linton Parish Council is responsible for looking after a number of features around the village. In particular they look after:

• The Village Green · The bus shelters in the village and at Great Bank Top
• Benches on the Green · Noticeboards - at Linton and Linton Falls
• The clapper bridge · A small number of street lights in Linton
